Wheatbelt hospital upgrades one step closer, Davies

Member for the Agricultural Region, Mia Davies said major upgrades of Northam, Narrogin, Merredin and Katanning district hospitals were one step closer with building condition audits under way. "The audits will be carried out by teams of architects and building surveyors, as well as electrical and structural engineers," Ms Davies said.

"Once prepared the results will be reviewed and used to prioritise works."

"As well as major hospital upgrades there will be the development of new facilities or refurbishment of small hospitals and nursing posts across the Wheatbelt."

"Over the next five years, the State Inland Health Initiative will invest $240 million in the regional health workforce and $325 million in capital works."
